Best SA Hip Hop Albums Of 2019: The past year was awesome and we saw dope albums dropping on the music scene with a bang. Although a few of the promised albums by our artists did not come as promised.
We bring to you our list of the best SA hip hop albums that ruled 2019.
1. Flame – Candyman
The debut album by hip hop star Flame titled “Candy Man” was released on the first of July 2019. Flame who is a former member of The Wrecking Crew established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the music world with the 19-track project.
2. Zoocci Coke Dope – Anxiety
Zoocci Coke Dope dropped one of the biggest albums of 2019. The artist who is under the Piff Audio Record label, on the 25th of November 2019 dropped a 13-track album titled “Anxiety“. The album caused quite an anxiety in his fans before it dropped and it was definitely worth it.
3. The Big Hash – Young
The Big Hash is a 19-year-old rapper who is based in Pretoria dropped a 15-track album on the 28th of March 2019 titled “Young“. The album scored features from top SA artists including former Wrecking Crew member, A-Reece.
4. YoungstaCPT – Things Take Time
The award-winning album by Cape Town rapper, YoungstaCPT is his debut album. 3T as the album is fondly called has 20 tracks in which the artist talked about his life and his reflections on the lives of people of color, namely the colored community, in Cape Town.
5. K.O – PTY UnLTD
PTY UnLTD is K.O‘s third studio album and was released in September 2019. The 13-track project has features from Sjava, Wizkid, DJ Maphorisa, Ma-E, Loki and Nandi Madida.
