Nadia Nakai, Sjava, Nasty C Shine At The AFRIMA Awards: All Africa Music Awards held its sixth edition of the annual event at the Eko Convention Centre in Nigeria. The award event aims at appreciating musical works around Africa and as well promoting African heritage.

The just concluded event which was hosted by Pearl Thusi and Eddie Kadi, had SA artistes clinching awards for their regional category and beyond.

Nadia Nakai and Nasty C both clinched two awards. Nadia came through as the winner in the Best Female Artiste Southern Africa and Best Artiste Duo or Group in African Hip Hop. Nasty C clinched the Best African Rapper/Lyricist and Best African Collaboration for his song, SMA featuring Rowlene. The Best Male Artiste for Southern Africa went to Sjava. The Legendary award went to Nigerian Icon 2baba and Congolese music veteran Awilo Longomba.

Best Male Artist in Southern Africa – Sjava, South Africa

African Fans’ Favourite – Mohamed Ramadan, Egypt

Album of the Year in Africa – Afrikan Sauce by Sauti Sol, Kenya

Best African Act in the Diaspora – Manno Beats, ft. Afrotronix & Vox Sambou, Chad

Best Male Artiste in Western Africa – Burna Boy, Nigeria

Best Female Artist in Western Africa – Tiwa Savage, Nigeria

Best Female Artist in Eastern Africa – Nikita Kering, Kenya
