Prince Kaybee Speaks Up On Song Theft Allegation: Last week, Prince Kaybee took to social media to reveal that he is working on a song with Rethabile. This post was made with a video clip of both DJs in a studio, working on the song.
Few days later, fellow colleague DJ Trumpet made a post of himself jamming to the what he called the first version of Isivunguvungu ft Rethabile which happens to be the same lyrics that Prince Kaybee posted. He went on to state that he’s not accusing anyone but “winnie if i could talk wonke umntu anga shocked bt i will share the story one day”.
Prince Kaybee reacted to these accusations saying “Rethabile came to my studio two days ago to record, I gave her a beat and she jumped on it. She was not honest with me because she said nothing about recording with you”. He went on to explain that he sent Trumpet’s tweet to Rethabile’s mother and manager Winne Khumalo, who said Trumpet was fired over disrespect.
Prince Kaybee wen on to apologize for the misunderstanding with the promise that he will re-record the song with new vocals, however, he won’t be working with Rethabile.
I know this doesn’t mean much to the fake fans but to the real ones here’s a video.
Dear @sa_trumpet you can stop tagging me in your posts and mentioning my name. Your battle is with Rethabile and Winnie Khumalo not me.
